Chiropractic is an effective treatment for many problems. Here are some common illnesses we address every day in our clinic . . .
There are many more disorders that can be helped through chiropractic. And don't worry, if your illness cannot be helped by chiropractic, we will connect you with a healthcare provider that meets your needs.
Chiropractic care is safe, with a very low risk of serious complications at less than one per million (about 1 in every 5.86 million adjustments)1. By comparison, the risk of death following other common treatments for spine-related pain is: 53.6 per million for prescription opioid pain medications2; and 1,800 per million for spine surgery3.
Chiropractic adjustment rarely causes discomfort. However, patients may sometimes experience mild soreness or aching following treatment (as with some forms of exercise) that usually resolves within 12 to 48 hours.
In a recent study, 94 percent of chiropractic patients reported a significant reduction in back pain4. Another study showed chiropractic care in conjunction with standard medical care offered a significant advantage over medical care alone for decreasing pain and improving physical functioning for people with acute low back pain5.
For neck pain, a recent study found that 82 percent of chiropractic patients reported a significant reduction in pain following chiropractic care6. Further, chiropractic treatment may reduce migraine symptoms by as much as 40 percent7.
Most insurance providers cover chiropractic treatment, although the level of coverage varies greatly. We advise patients to contact their insurance company prior to their first visit to learn the coverage provided through their specific plan.
Patients who choose to pay for their care directly (without insurance), and at the time of service, qualify for a discounted rate.
Palmer Clinics also offer financial assistance for patients with a financial need and offer discounted services (based on income) through our community outreach clinics. Finally, in support of our military, Palmer Chiropractic Clinics offer complimentary care for qualified active-duty status military personnel and their families.
