At Goodwill Industries®, our mission is “Improving People’s Lives through the Power of Work!” We believe people want to work and to have opportunities to grow. Through job training, placement, and retention services, people can find independence and the self-respect that comes with employment regardless of disabilities or other disadvantaging conditions.

Goodwill® provides effective vocational programs that help people with disabling and/or disadvantaging conditions achieve their greatest individual potential through employment. This population includes, but is not limited to, people with mental, physical, and emotional disabilities, substance abuse problems and other addictions, prior criminal offenses, unstable housing conditions, a lack of education or work history and those who have been victims of domestic violence. Goodwill also works with the previously incarcerated to instill in them values and knowledge to help break the cycle of violence and poverty.

Goodwill® also offers youth services programs for at-risk and disadvantaged youth. The GoodGuides Youth Mentor Program helps youth build career plans and skills, and prepare for school completion, post-secondary training, and productive work. The Independent Living Program for foster youth and young adults teaches vital life skills and career development enabling participants to successfully maneuver through all of life’s circumstances after foster care.
