Lake Shore Funeral Home is a family-owned business, committed to helping members of our community as they face, what can often be, difficult and stressful times. We are a full-service funeral home - meaning we have numerous options available including funerals, cremations, green burials, body donation to science, and alternative services as well. We operate our funeral home as a faith-based company and see our calling as a ministry to our area, not only in times of grief, but other times as well.
Each February we host a Valentine Luncheon, a special outreach honoring those widowed in our community who have lost their spouses during the past year. It is a bright opportunity for them to enjoy food and fellowship with others who have experienced their same feelings of loss and grief.
Our funeral home also partner with area high schools in presenting the "Shattered Dreams" program. This dramatic and realistic experience is designed to educate students, parents, and the community about the serious issues of underage drinking and driving which, sadly, can end in accidental death.
To help our community, Lake Shore has a policy that provides services at no charge for infants and dependent children up to 18 years (For benefits, read: http://www.lakeshorefuneralhome.com/infants-children/). We have another policy for public servants in our county who are killed in the line of duty (For benefits, read: http://www.lakeshorefuneralhome.com/public-servants-program/). As well, we work with McLennan County to provide services for indigent care.
