Get to know more about Gordon!
Gordon Collier was born in Dallas and grew up in Southeast Texas near Houston. He was bitten by the news bug while attending Southwest Texas State University where he received a BA in Journalism in 1988.
After graduation he began his career as a reporter and weather anchor for KLST-TV in San Angelo, TX.
He moved to Waco in 1989 after accepting a position here, at KWTX-TV as a consumer reporter and weekend weather anchor.
His coverage of the Branch Davidian standoff caught the eye of an Oklahoma news director and Gordon moved to Tulsa, OK in 1993 where he worked as a reporter for KOTV.
He rejoined the News 10 team in 1996 and now anchors the Six and Ten O'clock Newscasts.
He is the proud father of daughter Ryan, son Dalton, and twin boys Mason and Brady.
When he's not reporting the news he is often playing with his band the Gordon Collier Band.com. Gordon's hobbies are hunting, fishing and raising kids. Some of the major stories Gordon has covered include:
the Branch Davidian Standoff, Hurricane Andrew, the Oklahoma City Bombing, the Jarrell Tornado, and most recently the war in Iraq for which he has won numerous awards.
